TRUST & INFORMATION

Privacy.
Clear expectations.

How information is used in the monitoring service.

Sample document · Not finalized

Prepared for review at the operator’s request. Example operator: Uptiva. Example contact: info@uptiva.example (not an active mailbox). Country and legal entity: to be confirmed. No effective date has been adopted.

Operator and contact

This sample uses the name Uptiva and the placeholder address info@uptiva.example. The legal operator, country, contact address and applicable privacy details must be confirmed before this policy is adopted.

Information the service handles

An account can contain identity and sign-in information, workspace membership, configured monitor targets, check results, alert destinations, host metrics, submitted logs and support messages. The exact data depends on the features you use.

Why the information is used

The service uses configuration and telemetry to run monitoring, evaluate rules, deliver alerts, display history and operate account features. Connected identity, billing and notification providers receive information needed for the feature you enable.

Your monitoring inputs

Only monitor systems you are authorized to check. Remove credentials and personal data from logs before sending them. A public status page intentionally publishes selected service information; review its contents and access settings.

Storage and retention

Application logs are currently retained for seven days. Other retention periods, backup deletion schedules, subprocessors and hosting locations must be specified by the operator. This sample does not promise a retention period for data it has not verified.

Access and account controls

The panel includes account export and account deletion features. Use Support for privacy questions. Deleting an account and the treatment of backups or records required by law need to be described in the final policy.

Security and international processing

Access controls and token handling help protect the service, but no service is risk-free. The operator must identify hosting regions, international transfer arrangements and any required legal bases before adopting this draft.

Updates

The final policy should state its effective date and how material changes are communicated. This page remains a sample pending operator review.
